オハイオ大学(医療管理学専攻)卒業後、クリーブランド･クリニックでビジネスインターンを経験。帰国後、外資系病院コンサルティング会社に約4年間勤務した後、東京大学大学院医学研究科公共健康医学専攻に進学、臨床疫学･経済学分野に在籍し、医療アクセスの公平性をテーマとして研究を行った。2011年に同専攻を修了、公衆衛生学修士(M.P.H.)を取得。2012年より一橋大学大学院博士後期課程に進学、医療における管理会計、特に医療機関におけるバランスト・スコアカード（BSC)の活用をテーマとして2015年3月に同課程を修了、博士(商学)を取得。東京医科大学、神奈川県庁を経て現職に至る。医療情報技師。
